i loved shooting this wedding! kyle & sarah are so in love and adorable together. they also had some of the best wedding day locations! there is so much variety and culture in the D ,,, i love when i get to shoot there! the ceremony was at sweetest heart of mary catholic church and reception was at the

doubletree guest suites – fort shelby. flowers were provided by the little flower shop and dj shea from shea sounds kept the dance floor moving at the reception and was great to work with. a million thank you-s to my assistant for the day, cinque. it was a great day!

kyle & sarah, i hope you are having a fabulous time in the dominican republic. thank you for being such wonderful clients, i hope you love this preview!

sarah had a killer view from her hotel room and i tried to incorporate it into the photos as much as possible!her dress fit her perfectly!the gorgeous bride!love this one!next to kyle’s room …i love these of kyle and that’s his brother on the right. most ah-dorable ring bearer ever!!
sweetest heart of mary has to be one of the most awe-inspiring places i have been to! the ceremony was so beautiful!the brand new mr. & mrs.!! i love these next few photos of them alone in the church they were just married in: )eastern market is right around the corner from the church so we made a quick stop there for some fun wedding party shots. it was perfect!i found this little gem of a background off of gratiot! i love it!
: )and a last stop before heading to the reception .. downtown. these next few are probably some of my top favs of the day … i love how happy sarah looks in this one below. the reception was magnificent.good people, good times: )and i succeeded in stealing them away for a few last night shots before my day was over.

Trinity’s summer photos!

i had the pleasure of documenting the royal cuteness that is Trinity a few weeks back. Trinity and her parents (who are friends of mine) moved into a new house recently and she was so proud showing off her new yard! i don’t think it gets much cuter than this!

it was a hot summer day and she did so good, we finished off with a refreshing orange crush ; )

Stephanie & Patrick :: married!!

this love story is so sweet! Stephanie & Patrick started dating when they were 14 and after 11 years they finally tied the knot on august 14th. i loved shooting their wedding! Steph & Pat are so, so beautiful outside & in ,,, they, their families & wedding party, truly made me feel like part of the family. my second shooter for the day was the fabulous Shane Glenn. it was a great day!

Steph’s dress was incredible!!! so elegant & she looked crazy gorgeous in it!

the bride’s sister, Renee, has a love for poetry and this is a quote from her favorite author … the ring was a wedding gift from Stephanie. i just love details like that: )
mom was so proud …Stephanie, you are stunning!
dad was so proud too. now for the guys …i love these next two shots that Shane snapped of the handsome groom. i don’t know exactly why but Pat kind of reminds me of James Dean in this one.this was a beautiful, emotional moment …there’s a story behind this image,,, i got an email from Stephanie a few days before the ceremony giving me a heads up that there would be some construction in the church that i may have to work around. the construction was barely noticeable but consequently it let this little bird into the church. during the ceremony a family member let me know that before Stephanie’s grandmother passed away she told her that she would be a little bird at her wedding. it was a pretty awesome feeling when i captured this image.
i love this …the brand spankin’ new mr. & mrs.!!we headed back to Stephanie’s parent’s home for a little break before the reception, where they carved their initials into this old tree in the backyard.
the guys all looking quite GQthe robot : )and Shane’s take …peace, love & rock & roll!i love these … so much !could they be any cuter??in front of the house ..definitely one of my favorites of the day .. this will make the perfect double page spread in their album: )the guys changed their shoes for the second half of the day .. Patrick had air jordan’s personalized for each of his groomsmen. he’s also a golfer & i love this image below. pretty close…the guys finding creative ways to show off their new kicks!arriving at the reception cocktail hour..shenandoah was beautiful that night! the reception was a blast. this was a few days before their 30th anniversary.

rachael & jason :: married!! academy of the sacred heart & the henry, autograph collection

rachael and jason were married last saturday, august 7th at the academy of the sacred heart in bloomfield hills. you might remember them from their detroit engagement session from late last year. the reception was at the henry, autograph collection (formerly the ritz carlton) in dearborn. a million thank-yous to my assistant, jenny and second shooter for the day, shane glenn and also to the bride and groom and their families for having us there. it was an awesome day!

i loved that rachael’s room had such a great view of the city and also that jason’s ring was engraved ‘faith’

the bridesmaids all got little blue boxes and they just happened to match their dresses perfectly rachael, you are stunning arriving at the churchthe guys were pretty relaxedi love this one, it really captures the moment: )roots of our future…the handsome groom …

i love this shot that shane snapped of their entrance the cake was awesome & had a really cute story behind it.here they are telling that story: )and feeding eachother … shane shot this one and i love the angle!this little guy caught the garter!i stole the bride and groom away for a few last night shots in the lobby rachael & jason, you two are the best! i am so glad you chose me to document your day! i hope you are having a fabulous honeymoon and that you love this preview!

Martha & Mike :: 7.24.10

this wedding was so fun to shoot! i was sure it was going to be pouring rain all day.. well at least that’s what the weather man said, but it was a perfect day! a bit cloudy at first and as soon as the ceremony started the sun came out and there was a beautiful glow around Martha and Mike and a refreshing breeze. Martha and Mike are the perfect couple and made a very handsome bride and groom! you may remember them from their e-session earlier this year. my fabulous assistant, Robyn, and i started the day at the beautiful wild goose inn in downtown east lansing to document Martha and her bridesmaids getting ready. the bouquets and boutonnieres were from uniquely yours in northville and the centerpieces at the reception were made by hiller’s market in commerce twp. the ceremony was in the horticultural gardens on MSU campus and the reception was at the kellogg center also on MSU campus. as you may have guessed, Martha and Mike met and both graduated from MSU so their wedding was very green: )

this little inch worm was in the flowers and made it’s way to the rings,, with a little help: )

Martha’s dress was gorgeous! Mike surprised her with these diamond earrings on the wedding day.

Bobbie & Robert :: 07.17.10

Bobbie & Robert were married last saturday! you might remember these two from their royal oak engagement session last year. they both teach high school and are so, so cute together! their ridiculously amazing son, Damond, played a big part in their day and had all kinds of ideas for photos! the ceremony was at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in downtown Flint and reception was at Our Lady of Lebanon Banquet Center. New Creations did a beautiful job with the floral and Brett from Liquid Entertainment rocked!

Robert gave this heart to Bobbie when they first started dating, i thought it was sweet that she brought it!

Ashley & Michael :: 07.10.10

i have so been looking forward to shooting this wedding! Ashley & Michael, who you may remember from their detroit e-session from earlier this year, are just the sweetest couple and so, so in L-O-V-E! when Ashley told me she was adding vintage door knobs to her bouquet, i knew her style and mine would mesh well! the ceremony and lunch reception took place at the beautiful glen oaks in farmington hills and we made a stop in downtown farmington for some more photos. Erika from eco-posh events was their wedding coordinator and florist and i must say, she did a beautiful job! Joe Poré performed his new hit single “Feel This Way” and blew us all away with his amazing voice and talent, as Ashley was walking up the aisle and dj show from showtime dj’s provided the entertainment at the reception. the day was perfect!

last year i was ask to be the official photographer of the knot market party, recently published in the fall/winter 2010 issue. the knot hosts one of these each year for the companies who advertise with them .. it’s always a good time mingling with other like minded wedding professionals: ) of course, i was thrilled to contribute to the event! it was held at the beautiful waldenwoods resort and conference center in Hartland. the party planner was Erika from ecoposh events. the event contributors were all eco-friendly and the knot gave back to the community by making donating to gleaners food bank. if you don’t already have a copy, here’s a peek at the feature:
